Our founder, Sophie, spent years dealing with the all-too-familiar headaches that came from wearing her hair up. As a busy professional who needed her hair out of her face, she found herself stuck in a frustrating cycle—put hair up, develop a headache, take hair down, get distracted by hair in her face, repeat.

During a trip to Seoul in 2022, Sophie discovered the innovative comfort-focused hair accessories taking Korea by storm. Inspired by their gentle approach to beauty, she worked with Korean designers to create the perfect hair tie that would hold firmly without causing pain or damage.
